Experts from ASSET have busy lately. Al Crouch, ASSET’s chief technologist, core instrumentation, wrote an article that appeared in the September issue of Electronic Products Magazine. The article is titled: “Embedded instrumentation and boundary scan.”
As vice-chairman of the working group for IEEE P1687 Internal JTAG (IJTAG), Al wrote in the article that IJTAG will be “a standard way of connecting, accessing, analyzing and describing embedded instrumentation intellectual property (IP)…”

In another article written by Louis Frenzel, communications/test editor for Electronic Design Magazine, ASSET’s President and CEO Glenn Woppman is quoted on the role that embedded instrumentation will play in the future of test, design validation and debug. The article is titled: “The Embedded Plan for JTAG Boundary Scan.” In a related article, ASSET’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing Alan Sguigna commented on the International Electronics Manufacturing Initiative’s (iNEMI) boundary scan adoption program. Alan is a member of the iNEMI leadership group that is encouraging greater adoption of boundary scan in the industry.
