ScanWorks supports Avago’s SerDes cores with IBIST
ASSET has reached an agreement under which ScanWorks will support Avago Technologies’ embedded instrumentation technology for certain ASIC cores.
Avago’s Intel® QuickPath Interconnect (QPI) SerDes core is compliant with Intel’s Interconnect Built-In Self-Test (IBIST) and is suitable for ASICs in high-performance server applications. ScanWorks is the only commercial tool platform that will automate, access and analyze data generated by IBIST, Intel’s embedded instrumentation technology. 
Initially, ScanWorks will support Avago ASICs featuring SerDes that are compatible with Intel QPI. With this recent arrangement, designers, and validation and test engineers will be able to rapidly access, validate, debug and test both the Intel chipset and the Avago SerDes with a single tool, ScanWorks.
