ASSET acquires International Test Technologies
Test coverage will increase by tightly coupling ScanWorks’s structural boundary scan test and MicroMaster’s functional emulation testing
Culminating a three-year strategic relationship, ASSET InterTech recently announced that it was acquiring International Test Technologies of Ireland. The two companies teamed up back in 2004 when they collaborated on ASSET’s Extended JTAG Coverage product, a melding of ITT’s MicroMaster processor emulation test system into ASSET’s ScanWorks structural JTAG test environment.

ScanWorks boosts its support for Intel®'s embedded instruments
Intel Interconnect BIST (IBIST) gets new signal integrity applications
ASSET recently expanded the embedded instrumentation capabilities of ScanWorks by adding to the applications that support Intel Corporation’s new test and design validation technology, Interconnect Built In Self Test (IBIST). Intel is embedding IBIST into its next-generation server and workstation chipsets, such as the 5300 and 7300 Series Quad-Core Intel Xeon® processor-based platforms, as well as the Nehalem processor platforms with the Intel QuickPath interconnect architecture.

Fenton sees bright future following ASSET and ITT merger
Billy Fenton, one of the founders of International Test Technologies (ITT) and its predecessor company, has seen the peaks and valleys over the years. He’s been involved with board test and various forms of non-intrusive test technologies since the mid-1980s. And now, with the merger of ITT and ASSET, he sees a bright future ahead for the new ASSET InterTech.
