New video points to bright future for boundary scan industry
From within the context of the contributions ASSET has made over the years, a new marketing video reviews some of the evolutionary events that have occurred in the boundary-scan industry. The video, which was produced to complement ASSET’s marketing programs, mentions several ongoing developments that will affect the near-term future of the technology.
Throughout its narrative, the video recounts instances where ASSET was able to take input from its customers and achieve best-in-class technical accomplishments. The video highlights several of the advanced capabilities of ASSET’s products – the ScanWorks JTAG system and DFT Analyzer – and explains how these products complement emerging standards and related technologies.
“We have become such a media-centric culture that we thought that it was time to produce a dynamic video presentation which not only explains the role ASSET has played and is playing in the industry, but also mentions some of the key developments that are taking place right now,” said Glenn Woppman, president and CEO of ASSET, and one of the founders of the company. “It’s always interesting to take a step back and put some perspective on what you’ve done. We tried to do that for ASSET in this video.”
The fast-paced video touches on every aspect of the entire boundary-scan process, from chip development when the JTAG infrastructure is designed into silicon, to board-level boundary-scan design-for-test strategies, to various aspects of automating the process of developing and applying JTAG tests and programming operations, and eventually to the deployment of boundary scan operations for manufacturing and field support.
The video mentions emerging industry and ad hoc standards, and examines the key characteristics of boundary-scan test systems. Along the way, the video describes the development of next-generation capabilities as well as the integration of ScanWorks with other test technologies in comprehensive test strategies.
What goes into the best-in-class boundary-scan solution as well as the ease-of-use and automation features are described in the video. It reviews the varied capabilities of ASSET’s current technology, recounts the many standards development efforts that ASSET personnel have either led or played a key role in, and examines some of the technological trends that are emerging at this time.
But the best way to experience the new video is to do just that, experience it. Click here for a sneak preview.
