The new Examples Library will become a repository for software code examples of ScanWorks test and programming projects, scripts that have been developed to perform a number of functions to automate various aspects of the test process, and macros that perform a wide variety of tasks. The library is already being populated with many typical projects and scripts that can be downloaded and modified for implementation. Over time, macros will be placed on the web page as well as additional projects and scripts.

The Examples Library is accessed from the Help menu be clicking on “Maintenance Benefits.”

“We’re always cognizant of adding value to ScanWorks,” said Arden Bjerkeli, ASSET’s Director of Customer Application Support. “As users become acquainted with the Examples Library they will see how much time it can save. It’s always much easier and faster if you have some code to help you get started, rather than starting from scratch.”

The Examples Library page shows a descriptive name of the project, script or macro. An “I” button provides more information, including greater detail on the item as well as where it came from. Clicking on another button will download the example to the user’s computer.
