iNETest supports ScanWorks in Asian market

iNETest Resources Pte Ltd of Singapore has joined ASSET’s Partner Provider program to support ScanWorks in Asia. The Partner Provider program helps electronics manufacturers effectively deploy JTAG test technology and accelerate the re-use of boundary-scan tests beginning in development and progressing through volume manufacturing and field services, significantly reducing tests costs for both original equipment manufacturers and contract manufacturers. The program teams ASSET’s experts in JTAG test strategies and design-for-test implementation techniques with third parties that have extensive experience in electronic test.

"iNETest has been serving the test needs of the large community of electronics manufacturers in the Asian market for some time. Their skills complement ASSET’s stellar reputation for defining test strategies and then developing the tests to carry out those strategies for its clients," said Glenn Woppman, president of ASSET. "iNETest has established itself as a firm with tremendous knowledge of electronic test and boundary scan. The technicians and engineers at iNETest have been fully trained on the ScanWorks system. We expect that the relationship between our two companies will certainly grow in the future because we both share the same commitment to serving our customer."

iNETest offers an extensive array of test services, including the integration of test equipment, materials, IT and other technologies used on printed circuit board assembly lines. The company uses state-of-the-art wireless fixtures and short wire probe access designs in its designs of a wide range of test fixtures, test and measurement equipment and embedded controllers for various test applications.

"We have worked with ASSET's ScanWorks JTAG test environment for a considerable amount of time and we've been impressed with the capabilities of the system," said Jason Teo, director of iNETest. "The goals of our two companies are very similar. Our expertise extends beyond boundary scan into other aspects of electronic test and we feel that this can benefit manufacturers as they deploy boundary scan."

To qualify for ASSET’s Partner Provider program, iNETest demonstrated a deep understanding of JTAG test principles in a manufacturing environment, including how boundary-scan tests can be quickly deployed on in-circuit test (ICT) systems, such as the 3070 from Agilent Technologies and others. In addition, companies that become a Partner Provider must have extensive knowledge of ASSET's ScanWorks system.

"iNETest brings a rich knowledge of electronic test in general," said Fred Runco, Asian regional manager for ASSET. "We'll be able to serve our customers in Asia better with the help of iNETest because of the level of talent they have. It's very important that all of our Partner Providers align with our belief in customer service and iNETest is a good example of that. The fundamental objective of the program is to serve our customers better and help each one reap the benefits of JTAG test, including reduced test costs and fewer manufacturing defects."
